USB Driver for Ublox NEO-M8N GPS + HMC5983 compass (XL)

bought the Ublox NEO-M8N GPS + HMC5983 compass (XL).

I’m using Windows 10 and can’t connect the receiver over USB.
Windows told me no driver to be installed.

I read the paper to install driver from ublox.
I’ve been looking at ublox and install any kind of Driver I can found for the m8n.
But no Driver is running.

Which driver I have to install and which way is todo?

Problem solved. It was on the USB cable.
Thanks for the help.

Hello, I’ll post another customer’s solution (credits to John Githens) :

  1. Click here to download v8.24 software for Windows.
  2. Unzip (Extract All) the 'ublox-GNSS_u-center_windows_v8.24 'file.
  3. Complete the install procedure.
  4. Plug in the module using a USB cable.
  5. If you allowed Windows to install or update the driver via the Internet, then discover Device Manager on your machine.
  6. In Device Manager, you should see a line item with the word ‘Sensors’. Double-click the sub-item referring to the u-blox GNSS receiver. Use the Rollback button/function. (Note: From now on, you will not see the device appear in Device Manager, however you can see the existence of a live Port to the module under ‘Ports’.)
  7. Open the u-center app and click the button on the far left, on the lower menu row (there will not be a popup to explain the button). You should see a COM port appear in the list, and data passing from the module should appear.
